Beckham: Most clubs would want Kaka in their team

David Beckham, Kaka
David Beckham has fully endorsed any possible attempt by Los Angeles Galaxy to sign Real Madrid star Kaka.

Reports have suggested that the club intend to find a high-profile replacement to fill the Designated Player position now vacant in their squad after the former England interational's departure after six years with the team.

Speaking after his team secured a second MLS Cup victory in as many years with a 3-1 win over Houston Dynamo, Beckham was full of praise for Kaka.

"I think most clubs would like Kaka to come into their team," the 37-year-old midfielder stated.

"I know Ricardo from playing over the years against him for England. Obviously, I spent a lot of time with him when I was at AC Milan.

"He's a great talent. He's a great person and he's a hard worker. He's one of the most professional players that I've ever come up against and played with.

"So of cour se if there was any slight chance of bringing him to the Galaxy then I'm sure the owners would do anything possible."

Kaka has previously expressed his desire to play in MLS at some point in his career with his brother, Digao who is currently plying his trade with New York Red Bulls.

However, while Beckham certainly does not consider the transfer a given, he would be delighted if the Brazilian chose to move to California.

"He's still a Real Madrid player," the former Manchester United star stressed.

"It's obviously disrespectful to speak about him coming here when he's still in contract. But of course, if there was any chance of getting Ricardo here, you'd do anything."
