Netherlands international Jordy Clasie has attracted the interest of Juventus with his good performances for Feyenoord, Goal.com can reveal.

The Serie A champions are continually looking to strengthen their squad, and they see the 21-year-old as a valuable addition to their midfield on the long term.

Clasie is a product of the Feyenoord youth academy, and has developed into a key player at the Rotterdam giants since his return from a one-year loan spell at Excelsior in the summer of 2011.

The midfielder, who has been likened to Barcelona star Xavi because of his tender physique and playing style, has previously been linked with clubs such as AC Milan, Roma and Tottenham, and Juventus have now added him to their wishlist as well after scouting him on a number of occasions.

Nevertheless, Clasie will not be available on the cheap as he has a contract w ith Feyenoord until the summer of 2015, and his current club have no intention to sell him anytime soon.

A transfer in the January window therefore seems out of the question, but Juventus will continue to monitor Clasie's development, and could make their move at the end of the 2012-13 campaign.
