Juventus keeping tabs on Osvaldo

Pablo Osvaldo - Roma
EXCLUSIVE

Juventus are closely monitoring the situation of Pablo Osvaldo at Roma with an eye on potentially making a move for the Italy international in the January transfer window, Goal.com can reveal.

The Serie A champions were keen to sign a high-profile striker during the summer, but eventually had to settle for Nicklas Bendtner after they failed to secure the services of one of Stevan Jovetic, Fernando Llorente, Robin van Persie or Edinson Cavani.

Nevertheless, the Denmark international has so far been unable to make an impact at the Old Lady, and Juventus are once more considering adding a new striker to their ranks.

Athletic Bilbao's Llorente remains a transfer target for Juve, but they have now added the 26-year-old Osvaldo to their wish-list, too.

The Argentina-born attacker enjoys a difficult relationship with Roma coach Zdenek Zeman, and seems to h ave fallen behind Francesco Totti, Mattia Destro and Erik Lamela in the pecking order at the Giallorossi.

Zeman recently criticised Osvaldo's attitude, and the former Espanyol star is believed to be unhappy with his current situation.

The forward has a contract with Roma until June 2016, but he could be on his way out of the Stadio Olimpico side this winter if he fails to win over Zeman in the next few months.

Juventus have a good relationship with Roma following the previous transfers of Mirko Vucinic and Marco Borriello, and a new deal between both Serie A outfits could be on the horizon in the not too distant future.
