Serie A champions Juventus are set to join AC Milan in the race to sign out-of-favour Manchester United winger Nani.

Goal.com revealed on Tuesday that Massimiliano Allegri's side are currently at the front of the queue for the former Sporting Lisbon star's signature, but are keen on a cut-price 12 million deal for the Portugal international.

The 25-year-old, who featured in the Seleccao's 1-1 draw with Northern Ireland on Tuesday, looks almost certain to leave Old Trafford next year as talks over a new contract continue to stall, with Juve ready to sound out the player via third parties.

Despite having amassed over 200 appearances for the Red Devils since joining in July 2007, Nani has struggled to earn a regular spot in Sir Alex Ferguson's starting XI this season.

The Cape Verde-born midfielder was left out of the squad as United cruised to victory against Newcastle in their most recent Premier League game, with Sir Alex Ferguson preferring to utilise a system devoid of out-and-out wingers.

It is believed that Ferguson is prepared to part with the winger but is keen on receiving a figure in line with the 20m he originally shelled out for the player five years ago.

Juventus currently sit at the top of the pile in Serie A after six wins from the opening seven games of the 2012-13 campaign, with the Nani camp seemingly viewing the Turin-based club as an ideal next destination for the Portuguese.
