Wigan accept Chelsea offer for Moses
Wigan Athletic have accepted a bid for Victor Moses from Chelsea, revealing the Blues have finally met the valuation set by the club.
The midfielder was on the receiving end of four unsuccessful bids by the European champions but Dave Whelan has finally agreed to sell the player on the fifth attempt.
The club announced on their website that they had given Chelsea permission to speak to Moses as the move looks set to go through sometime this week.
The 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes against his potential new club last weekend but failed to get on the score sheet as Di Matteo's men ran out 2-0 victors.
Moses' versatility - he can either play out wide or as a central striker - is believed to have attracted Chelsea as they look to push reigning champions Manchester City all the way in the Premier League.
He has played for England at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 level but has since pledged his a llegiance to the country of his birth, Nigeria, and is now in their senior plans.
