I live for Roma, says De Rossi as he dismisses transfer talk
Daniele De Rossi has reiterated his desire to stay at Roma, as the January transfer window looms.
The Italy international has been far from a regular in coach Zdenek Zeman's plans so far this season, with Goal.com revealing that AC Milan had become the latest club interested in the player's signature.
The 29-year-old put in a storming performance in the Giallorossi's 4-2 victory over Massimiliano Allegri's side last weekend, and he has since affirmed his commitment to his boyhood club, insisting he has never contemplated a move away from Stadio Olimpico.
He told the New York Times: I was born in Rome. For me, it is the normal thing to play right here. I never tried, or really wanted, to play outside for another team.
For me, it is amazing, great. I first came to the training centre when I was 12-years-old. Its my home.
President James Pallotta said I am not on the market, not for sa le. I repeat, I still love this city and the club. Everything I love is here. It would be so difficult for me if I have to change.
If some clubs want me, my manager will have to talk with them.
I live for this club. My story is that I live for the club and, for me, leaving would be a drama, a big drama. I would like to stay here.
